Below are three fights from Thailand’s Golden Age or so, a period of time which featured some of the best fighters Thailand has ever produced. One of the things I’m doing on my new Facebook focused on technique “Preserve the Legacy” are these short podcast like looks at great fights of the past. These aren’t breakdowns, they are in the vein of just passionate fan viewings. We more or less just give a little background on the fighters or the match up and let the tape roll. One of the hopes is that it makes the fights a little more enjoyable to watch, watching them with fans like you, and to grow awareness of some of these wonderful fighters.

For those who have subscribed to my blog, I’m not sure if the video embeds will come through in email. All the videos are posted on my Preserve the Legacy Facebook page, you can just click through.

Karuhat Sor Suphawan vs Saengmorakot Sor Ploenjit

Dokmaibaa Bor Pongsawang vs Yodkhunpon Sittraipum

Dieselnoi Chor Thanasukarn vs Nongkhai Sor. Prapasorn

You can see all the videos of the Preserve the Legacy Muay Thai Technique page here.

3 of the legends in these videos (Dieselnoi, Karuhat and Yodkhunpon) are in my Preserve the Legacy Muay Thai Library documentary project. You can watch full length instruction from them, with commentary, by supporting the project with a suggested pledge of $5.

Muay Thai

A 100 lb. (46 kg) female Muay Thai fighter. Originally I trained under Kumron Vaitayanon (Master K) and Kaensak sor. Ploenjit in New Jersey. I then moved to Thailand to train and fight full time in April of 2012, devoting myself to fighting 100 Thai fights, as well as blogging full time. Having surpassed 100, and then 200, becoming the westerner with the most fights in Thailand, in history, my new goal is to fight an impossible 471 times, the historical record for the greatest number of documented professional fights (see western boxer Len Wickwar, circa 1940), and along the way to continue documenting the Muay Thai of Thailand in the Muay Thai Library project: see patreon.com/sylviemuay
