Fight 170 – Sylvie Petchrungruang vs Nang Hong Liangprasert

January 7, 2017 – Thapae Stadium, Chiang Mai – full fight video Oh man, this fight. I don’t have a whole lot to say about the fight itself, it was very short and I was basically rag-dolling Nang Hong, who I’ve beat before. She can’t clinch with me. But she followed some very good advice and used a front elbow to dissuade me or punish me on my clinch entry. You can barely see the elbow that cut me, it’s her left side as I’m reaching around her and my guard is actually up but there’s a hole in it

Fight 167 – Sylvie Petchrungruang vs Hongpet Liangprasert

December 21, 2016 – Thapae Stadium, Chiang Mai – full fight video above I was supposed to be fighting Hongpet at a different event just prior to this, but I can’t remember why that didn’t work out. I’ve fought the Liangprasert gym before and am friendly with their owner/trainer to some extent, but I don’t think I’d ever fought Hongpet before. She’s a Tom and has a very cool style about her, very confident in herself and kind of self-contained. I was watching her gym on the mat prior to the fight and there was this odd disassociation between the owner’s

Fight 162 – Sylvie Petchrungruang vs Nong Benz Sitdobwod

November 8, 2016 – Thapae Stadium, Chiang Mai – full fight video above This fight required a lot of back and forth with the promoter. On October 13, 2016 His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Rama 9, passed away and the country fell into a period of mourning. It was a huge shock and has been a very sad time. As part of paying respect to His Majesty there was a moratorium on all celebratory events, no music, television was only Royal News with no entertainment programs, and fights in Bangkok were all cancelled for a 30 day period. There are

Fight 125 Sylvie von Duuglas-Ittu vs Baifern Bor. Puiboonput – Thapae Stadium

October 6, 2015 – Thapae Stadium, Chiang Mai – full fight video below full fight video, above Because my hand is still broken (although doing SO much better), I’m very diligent about having that side wrapped well for fights. So I sent some messages to Tor, with whom I trained at Lanna, and he agreed to come down and wrap my hands for the fight. Which was a good call, I tell you – he gave me an awesome professional wrap that he said is great for clinchers because it’s lightweight on the hands. Tor is a clinch fighter also;

Seventy-Ninth Fight – Baifern Bor. Puiboonput

May 18th, 2014 – Thapae Stadium, Chiang Mai – I actually set this fight up on my own, which is a first and hopefully unusual – if not last – for me.  Since Den has gone to Scotland it has proved difficult to get a fight scheduled because he’s the manager with all the contacts and even though Daeng can contact all the same people he’s not accustomed to, or perhaps interested in, doing so.  Daeng did set me up a fight but it wasn’t until the 30th, which would be more than two weeks from when I’d asked for

Seventy-Eighth Fight – Gwangtong Phetriantong

May 5, 2014 – Thapae Stadium, Chiang Mai – I had to wait for one stitch to come out of my head from my fight before this, so there were about two weeks between them.  I showed up at the venue with no idea who I would be fighting and upon looking at the program I still didn’t recognize the name.  I looked around at the other fighters and couldn’t see anyone who would be reasonable.  I didn’t feel that it mattered.  I was a bit nervous because it felt like a long stretch between my fights and my last

Seventy-Seventh Fight – Nong Em Tor. Vitaya

Thapae Stadium, Chiang Mai – April 21, 2014 This was my first fight back at Thapae Stadium in many months.  I’d asked Den for a fight here and it took a while to actually get one booked, although not really because of any difficulty in scheduling a fight for me, just the promoter at Loi Khro being who Den generally works with and that promoter continually wanting me for his shows. It felt really nice to be at Thapae.  It’s a cool venue and I like it.  Where we set up in the back is a training area during the

Fifty-Sixth Fight – Suaphet Liangprasert

October 10, 2013 – Thapae Stadium I had a bit of a rough week of training leading up to this fight.  I managed to ding up my right shin when I kicked pads on the first day back after my last fight.  Incidentally, I told Daeng that I didn’t want to kick on my left shin because I knew it was tender from blocking a gazillion times against Cherry, but I thought my right shin was fine because I didn’t feel anything on it at all.  Within a few kicks on the pads I had a big bubble that hurt
